ShieldKit help
ShieldKit checks English-language stores only.
How ShieldKit works
- Store check. We read your store’s public pages and run 11 checks (7 on the free check for any address). It takes about a minute. We never change anything on your store unless you press Apply.
- Score. The share of checks that passed, out of those we could check. A check we couldn’t read is “Not checked” and doesn’t count either way.
- Evidence. For each problem, what we looked at and what we found there: the addresses we tried, the words on the page. It comes with Monitoring and Recovery.
- Recovery. For one store, billed every month until you cancel: everything in Monitoring, plus policies written from your answers and the appeal letter (up to 3 per store check, under 2,000 characters). Up to 12 drafts in any 30 days. No refunds.
- Monitoring. A store check every day, and an email only when a problem is new or gets worse, with its Evidence. 90 days of Score history. No “all clear” emails. Yearly billing includes 30 days of Recovery once a year.
Getting your account reviewed
When Google suspends or warns a Merchant Center account, it reviews the account again only when you ask. In short:
- Fix what Google flagged. The Recovery workspace walks you through your policies, contact page and business details.
- Check you’re ready: no critical problems open, and nothing else blocking a review. If a linked Google Ads account is suspended too, Google says that must be fixed first (Google’s guide: Linked account suspension (opens in a new tab)).
- In Merchant Center, ask for a review. The appeal letter in ShieldKit is written for this step.
- Google says the review may take up to 7 business days.
If a second review fails, Google may start a one-week cool-down before you can ask again. The cool-down can get longer after each failed review, and Google support can’t shorten it.
Google’s guide: Request a review (opens in a new tab)
Google decides every review. Nobody can promise an outcome or a date.

Connections and your data
- Google Merchant Center. Read only. We read the issues Google lists on your account, your product statuses and your business details, and never change anything. Remove ShieldKit’s access any time on the Connections page or in your Google Account (opens in a new tab).
- WooCommerce. A read-only key you approve on your own store, for your store’s name and address. Remove it on the Connections page, and in WooCommerce under Settings, Advanced, REST API.
- Policy pages (WordPress). Optional. A separate password WordPress makes for ShieldKit, used only when you press Apply. Every Apply has an Undo. Remove it on the Connections page, or in WordPress under Users, Profile, Application Passwords.
- We never ask for your store, WordPress or Google password, and never sell or share your data.
- Download everything we keep about you, or delete your account and data, on the Settings page.
